MEMS On/Off Optical Switches

DiCon Fiberoptics’ MEMS On/Off optical switches allow an optical signal to be turned on or off, and are also helpful to increase isolation in an optical system.

DiCon’s MEMS On/Off optical switches have one input and one output fiber, and can be commanded to either an ON or OFF state. They are driven by an analog control voltage and thus should be integrated into a larger system.

DiCon Fiberoptics offers On/Off optical switch modules that allow precise control of multiple On/Off optical switches. The module offers a protected and efficient way to easily mount and control multiple MEMS On/Offs through a single RS-232 or I2C interface.

MEMS Reflective On/Off Optical Switch

DiCon’s MEMS Reflective On/Off optical switch has one fiber only. The MEMS mirror can be aligned to an ON state so that an incoming optical signal is reflected back upon itself, or aligned to an OFF state so that the optical signal is terminated inside of the optical switch. They are driven by an analog control voltage and thus should be integrated into a larger system.
